Job Description:

The Analytical Lab Technician is responsible for analyzing both new and in-use samples for our sales team and customers.  This person will use laboratory equipment as well as wet chemistry techniques to perform the analysis.  The results will be written up in a professional laboratory report for distribution to sales and/or customers.  The Analytical Lab Technician will need to use critical thinking to interpret lab results and recommend actions to be taken.  This position will also support quality control and research and development when necessary.  The Analytical Lab Technician may also be required to assist in laboratory instrument calibrations and troubleshooting.  This person will follow all laboratory procedures as well as health and safety guidelines.  This position reports to the Laboratory Manager. 

• Analyze all technical request samples.
• Write reports for all technical request samples.
• Support quality control
• Support research and development
• Complete tasks as required in a timely manner.
• Assist in the calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
• Comply with safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment for all personnel.

Profile:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related Science.
• 0-4 years of experience working in a commercial chemistry setting.
• Industry experience is a plus, but not required.
• Good organizational skills.
• Good PC skills, specifically Microsoft Office.
• Ability to interact with and discuss technical matters fluently with people of varied backgrounds and educational levels.
• A team player who works well with others.
• Ability to make informed decisions based on the data at hand.
